LINCOLN (April 20, 2017) — A proposed constitutional amendment requiring voters to show a photo ID has passed a legislative committee and will head for debate in Nebraska’s unicameral Legislature.
The Government, Military and Veteran Affairs Committee voted 5-2 along party lines on April 20 to endorse the measure sponsored by Sen. John Murante of Gretna, who is pondering a run for secretary of state.
