About the Voting Integrity Institute —
A Project of the
Americans’ most fundamental civil right—-that of voting and self-governance—-relies on citizen confidence in our public institutions, especially the integrity of our election process. Accurate voter registration and ballot counting are essential to maintaining our constitutional republic and separation of powers.
The Voting Integrity Institute, an ardent advocate for election integrity, provides education and training on critical voting and election integrity issues to state legislators, secretaries of state, attorneys, stakeholders and citizens. The Institute closely monitors voting legislation across the country and engages in states considering ways to improve the electoral process.
Since the passage of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA), the institutional Left has worked tirelessly to prevent common-sense measures to ensure that only eligible voters get to cast a ballot. Its orchestrated campaign to weaken America’s electoral safeguards has facilitated opportunities for vote fraud and undermined the public’s confidence in our electoral process.
More than 200 counties across America have more people registered to vote than they have residents eligible to vote. Corrupted voter rolls provide the oxygen for vote fraud, furnishing a wealth of opportunities for absentee and mail-in ballot fraud, voter impersonation and double voting.
In response to this threat, the American Constitutional Rights Union (ACRU) in 2013 undertook an unprecedented legal strategy to force the cleanup of voter registration rolls. Using Section 8 of the NVRA, we have won a number of consent decrees in counties in Mississippi and Texas and are currently engaged in litigation against the notorious Broward County, Florida. ACRU’s legal action to compel the City of Philadelphia to open its voting records for public inspection uncovered substantial registration of illegal aliens and felons just prior to the 2016 election.
Since 1999, ACRU has provided valuable amicus support in key civil rights cases, including many election integrity cases, at the appellate and Supreme Court levels.
The Voting Integrity Institute is your one-stop shop to become a voting integrity advocate in your state. Our website provides explanations and the status of pending voting/election legislation by state and monitors election integrity litigation and redistricting, with an emphasis on ACRU’s legal activity. The Institute is a valuable resource on voting integrity issues, highlighting academic reports, studies and testimony.
Our website provides links to news and commentary on election integrity issues including automatic voter registration, voter roll maintenance, early voting, mail-in balloting, photo ID laws, requirements for proof of citizenship to register to vote, same-day registration, vote fraud convictions, and the effort to eliminate the Electoral College.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. Engaging in the fight to ensure fair and honest elections is essential to maintaining our liberty. The fight will not be won with a handful of battles, but will require persistence, dedication and patience. We hope you will join the ACRU and The Voting Integrity Institute in protecting America’s political voice for generations to come.
