ALEXANDRIA, VA (July 17, 2017)– J. Christian Adams, a former prosecutor in the Justice Department’s Voting Section and a member of the ’s Policy Board, has been appointed to the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity.
Mr. Adams, who is leading ACRU’s litigation to clean up dirty voter registration rolls, joins fellow ACRU Policy Board members Ken Blackwell and Hans von Spakovsky on the panel, which President Trump created to examine the prevalence of vote fraud in America and to recommend ways to ensure accurate elections.
“Despite the Left’s mischaracterization and sabotage, it’s clear that under Vice President Mike Pence and Kris Kobach, the people most knowledgeable in the field of election integrity are coming aboard this vital commission,” said ACRU Chairman and CEO Susan A. Carleson. “We’re proud that the administration looked to the ACRU for our expertise on this vital issue.”
The ACRU began in 2013 to sue counties with bloated, inaccurate voter rolls, winning several consent decrees in Mississippi and Texas.
Currently, the ACRU is litigating against the city of Philadelphia, Starr County, Texas and Broward County, Florida. A federal court in Miami will hear the ACRU’s complaint next week that Broward’s election officials have failed to maintain accurate voter rolls that have well over 100 percent of the county’s voting eligible population registered.
“A number of Soros-funded groups have intervened on behalf of the county, but this case isn’t about money; it’s about honest government and we are more than ready to take them on in federal court,” Carleson added.
