Voter Laws and Registration Deadlines
You must:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Be a resident of Hawaii
- Be at least 16 years old (you must be 18 years old by election day in order to vote)
- Not be in jail for a felony conviction
- Not be “non compos mentis”
- Not be adjudicated mentally incompetent
- PHOTO ID NOMINALLY REQUIRED — voters without photo ID merely have to give date of birth and home address that corroborates information listed for them on the voter registration roll.
- Early Voting in Person or by Mail
Registration Deadline: 30 days before the election
