This brings the total number of non-citizens on Ohio’s voter rolls discovered so far to 821.
The bill's sponsor said that there are more registered voters than there are voting age residents in eight different voting districts in the state.
Since 2011, Republicans in Wisconsin have approved the voter ID law, eliminated early voting on weekends and tightened other voting regulations. A string of lawsuits followed.
The power to mandate or standardize American voter ID laws is the same power that could one day ban all state use of voter ID.
The proposal is one of two efforts to reinstate a voter ID law struck down by the Arkansas Supreme Court in 2014.
